It is an interesting historical document with a lot of insights -- as well as a lot of Eurocentric racist nonsense. Not very useful for any exams
This title is a bit misleading; it is a great history of India from a first person perspective when it starts. I am loving it!

Useless. Don't bother with this unless you are studying the history of India. I am surprised it is still being sold.
William Eleroy Curtis's Modern India has a misleading title because the book was written in the 19th century. But as long as you know that going in it's a great read. The book gives a wide account of what life was like in India in the 19th century. I would definitely reccommend this book.
