Among jobs I held, were tour guide and then cigarette-girl (at the Dunes Hotel) after that I moved on to serving cocktails, while also working as a communication executive for a woman's newspaper, and media escort to many famous celebrities and authors, one of the authors was the incomparable "Rod McKuen", world famous poet and singer song-writer. Another well-known celebrity, former Speaker Of The House, "Tip O Neil". After twenty-eight years living in Las Vegas, I moved to Florida for over a year, while at the present time I'm back home in the Chicago land area. I am currently writing lyrics for songs and in the near future hoping to publish a second book.

There is so much for Americans to take pride in, and in our current struggles, it is more important than ever to take stock of all that our great country has accomplished as individuals and as a people. Marlene Cutchin has a way of capturing those moments and traits that make America great and distilling them down into first-rate works of poetry in Jitter's Golden Poems. Although Cuthcin has rubbed elbows with the famous, such as Tip O'Neil and Tony Orlando, she still maintains a deep and powerful respect for the simple American working hard and trying to live life right. That sense serves to make her poetry more poignant to most American readers, but readers everywhere will appreciate the lessons and morals that each poem puts forward. Kindness, determination, and optimism are all characteristics that Cutchin explores in a myriad of ways through her poems.
